REACTIONS: Twitter yesterday, removed the ‘Blue Tick’ or the Verification Tick from the Legacy accounts – the top celebrities across the globe.
The list includes the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Yogi Adityanath, etc.
Twitter has made it mandatory for users to subscribe to ‘Twitter Blue’ to secure the verification mark. This comes with added benefits, such as 30-minute edits; tweets with more than 280 characters; long videos, etc.
Twitter announced, “Tomorrow, 4/20, we are removing legacy verified checkmarks. To remain verified on Twitter, individuals can sign up for Twitter Blue…”
