Parental Consent for APAAR

State governments in India are in the process of obtaining parental consent to issue a new kind of student identity card known as the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR).

One Nation, One Student ID Initiative

This initiative is a significant part of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ movement, conceived by the Union government and inspired by the National Education Policy of 2020.

Unique Identification System

APAAR acts as a unique identification system for students all over India, starting from early childhood. Each student will receive a lifelong APAAR ID

Lifelong Student ID

Every student is assigned a lifelong APAAR ID, which facilitates the easy tracking of academic progress from pre-primary to higher education.

APAAR as a Gateway to Digilocker

APAAR connects to DigiLocker, a secure digital repository, allowing students to safely store essential documents like exam results and report cards for easy access in future educational or professional pursuits.
